Volleyball Recap: Escondido Charter Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Escondido Charter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Foothills Christian Knights 3-2. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (114-109) Escondido Charter actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 27-25, 23-25, 16-25, 17-15.

ALAINA CASTRONOVO had an outrageously good game as she had 33 digs. Those 33 digs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was EMMA LYON, who had 17 digs and four aces.

Escondido Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive matchups.
