A feisty cat fight will be fought as Winnfield Tigers take on Dodson Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Winnfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Winnfield came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-7 to Caldwell Parish. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 5, 2024.

Winnfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Luke Page, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Meanwhile, Dodson waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Rebels as they made off with a 13-5 victory. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly eight runs.

Winnfield's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Dodson, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Winnfield took their victory against Dodson in their previous matchup back in March of 2016 by a conclusive 22-7. Will Winnfield repeat their success, or does Dodson has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
