Softball Recap: New Albany Takes a Loss

New Albany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 12-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Bella Dues made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Ava Bowersock was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

New Albany's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lincoln, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. New Albany is set to square off against their familiar foe Central Crossing at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lincoln will face off against rival Westerville Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
