The New Life Camp Storm are taking a road trip to take on the South Wake Sabres at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
New Life Camp let St. David's stack five runs on them in the seventh inning on Friday but luckily New Life Camp prevailed anyway. The Storm had just enough and edged out the Warriors 9-8. Nine seems to be a good number for the Storm as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

04/25/25 @ St. David's | 7 |
03/26/25 vs Wake Prep Academy | 6 |
05/03/24 vs Cary Christian | 5 |
04/12/24 vs Wilson Prep | 7 |
Ethan Windley was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
In other batting news, New Life Camp got a massive performance out of Seth Massie, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave Massie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan White-Smith, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
New Life Camp was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. David's only posted a batting average of .200.
South Wake came out on top against DASH on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run sixth inning. The Sabres blew past the United 15-1. That looming 15-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Sabres yet this season.
Ryan Shope was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for South Wake: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-11 otherwise. Seth Kirk was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
New Life Camp is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for South Wake, their record is now 6-12.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. New Life Camp hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .392. However, it's not like South Wake struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
New Life Camp skirted past South Wake 4-2 in their previous meeting on April 10th. Will the Storm repeat their success, or do the Sabres have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
