Soccer Recap: Shawnee Mission Christian vs. St. Joseph D
On FridaySt. Joseph D kept up with Shawnee Mission Christian until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Shawnee Mission Christian Mustangs put the hurt on the St. Joseph D Defenders with a sharp 8-1 victory. It was an even better day for Luis Campos as he scored three goals for his team.
Something new happened on Friday as Ngun Lei saw his first action of the season, playing 40 minutes against St. Joseph D. Lei made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal and an assist. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
The win made it two in a row for Shawnee Mission Christian and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Shawnee Mission Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Liberty HomeSchool Alliance on Friday.
