Whittier RVT took a four-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Innovation Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Red Tailed Hawk 2-1 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for Whittier RVT as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Whittier RVT's victory bumped their record up to 2-8-3. As for Innovation Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Innovation Academy will challenge Nashoba Valley Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Whittier RVT will be paying especially close attention to the Red Tailed Hawk's matchup: after the Red Tailed Hawk face off against the Vikings, they'll take on Whittier RVT again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
