Volleyball Game Preview: Chippewa Falls Cardinals vs. Wausau East Lumberjacks + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Chippewa Falls Cardinals and the Wausau East Lumberjacks will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wausau East took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Chippewa Falls, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chippewa Falls took on New Richmond on Monday. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Chippewa Falls walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-19.

Chippewa Falls' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ilah Sinz led the charge by getting 11 digs. Sinz has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Meanwhile, Wausau East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against D.C. Everest, falling 3-0.

Wausau East was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22, 25-20.

Wausau East's loss dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Chippewa Falls, their win bumped their record up to 30-10.

Chippewa Falls beat Wausau East 2-0 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Lumberjacks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
