Baseball Recap: Intrinsic Comes Up Short

After flying high against Noble Street College Prep on Monday, Intrinsic came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell just short of the Senn Bulldogs by a score of 13-12 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-3 last Saturday.

Brandon Loredo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Loredo is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Elijah Alvarez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 4-for-5.

Intrinsic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Senn, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 3-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Intrinsic is set to take on their familiar foe Disney II at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Senn will face off against rival Foreman at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
