Football Recap: Glassboro Piles Up the Points Against Audubon

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Glassboro walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Audubon Green Wave 41-0. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by 28 points or more this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Glassboro's defense and their eight sacks. Brandon Simmons Jr led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one sack the last 17 times he's played. Another thorn in Audubon's side was Junior Serrano, who made ten total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Glassboro's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Audubon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Glassboro will challenge Salem at 6:00 p.m. on the 7th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 4, the Rams 13.2) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Audubon, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pitman at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th.
