Baseball Recap: Kingstree Comes Up Short

Kingstree was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-2 to the Manning Monarchs. If the Blazers were looking for revenge after losing 17-3 to the Monarchs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kingstree saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Bennett, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Chase McCea was another, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

Kingstree's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Manning, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6.

While Kingstree had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
