Baseball Recap: Crossett Continues Road Dominance on Saturday

Crossett made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Horatio, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Crossett Eagles were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the Horatio Lions on Saturday. The Eagles' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Crossett's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Horatio, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Crossett wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-5 victory against Murfreesboro on the 8th. As for Horatio, they will square off against Prescott at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Horatio has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
