Softball Recap: Old Forge Blue Devils vs. Tri-Valley Bulldogs        
        
		
            
 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Old Forge had no problem doing just that  on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tri-Valley Bulldogs  and snuck past  6-5. The  win was familiar territory for Old Forge who now have five in a row.
  Karen Sickle was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   11  hits. Sickle has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in 13 consecutive pitching appearances. Sickle was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Juliette DeStefano and  Meghan Marianelli did most of the damage at the plate:  DeStefano  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Marianelli  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Old Forge's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Tri-Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5.
 As of now, neither Old Forge nor Tri-Valley have any future games scheduled.
