Football Game Preview: Escalante vs. McCurdy

Escalante will look to defend their home turf on Friday against McCurdy at 7:00 PM. McCurdy will need to watch out since Escalante have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.

Escalante took the contest and then some with a 62-7 win last Friday over Mission Achievement & Success. Senior Anthony Ulibarri, who rushed for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Escalante's success. In fact, with nine tackles Ulibarri was a force on both sides of the ball.

Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for McCurdy, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They were given a punishing 0-50 defeat at the hands of Newcomb. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Everything came up roses for Escalante against McCurdy the last time the two teams met as the squad secured a 54-0 victory. Will Escalante repeat their success, or does McCurdy have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
