Seton Catholic had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Columbia Bruins with a sharp 13-3 victory. Considering the Cougars have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Teddy Wieczorek, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ryker Ruelas, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Seton Catholic pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Columbia, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Seton Catholic will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bruins: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
