Bullock County had won four straight games and Tyekelis Wallace did his part to make it five on Friday. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tallassee Tigers 19-17 for which the team can thank Wallace, who rushed for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Wallace is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 110 every time he's taken the field this season.

Bullock County's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Tallassee, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Bullock County and Tallassee will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Hornets see the field they'll take on Handley at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Tallassee, their break will end when they face Cleburne County at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
