Volleyball Recap: Lumpkin County Finds Home Court Redemption Against Lake Oconee Academy

There's no place like home for Lumpkin County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lake Oconee Academy Titans on Thursday. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

While Lumpkin County won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22.

Lumpkin County's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Lake Oconee Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Coincidentally, Lumpkin County and Lake Oconee Academy will both be playing Flowery Branch the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
