Football Game Preview: Trinity Prep Saints vs. Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks

The Trinity Prep Saints will square off against the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Trinity Prep was beaten by Father Lopez 48-14. The Saints have struggled against the Green Wave recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Trinity Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josh Shaw picked up 127 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. Shaw really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 72 yards.

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Charter Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Geneva on Friday, but they still walked away with a 17-13 win.

Cornerstone Charter Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Trinity Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Trinity Prep lost to Cornerstone Charter Academy at home by a decisive 23-7 margin in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Saints, Brent Carr (who picked up 132 receiving yards and a pair of TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
