Baseball Recap: Hayfield Comes Up Short

Hayfield came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 18-3 to the Lake Braddock Bruins. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost three in a row.

Hayfield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Bueno, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Hayfield's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Lake Braddock, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Coming up, Hayfield will be playing at home against Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Braddock, they will head out to square off against West Springfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
