Gage Ely continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game with a field goal percentage of at least 0.5. He dropped a double-double with 27 points and 11 boards. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Franklin back in February of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ely has scored at least a third of Red Cloud's points.

Looking ahead, Ely and Red Cloud will face off against Lawrence-Nelson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ely hasn't had any trouble running up the score (he's averaged 20.4 per game this season), but he'll have his work cut out for him against a dominant the Raiders defense that's only given up 35 points per game.
