Soccer Game Preview: Del City vs. Midwest City

The Del City Eagles will take on the Midwest City Bombers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Del City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Del City barely beat McLoud the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Del City never let McLoud get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Tuesday. Tony Rios was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Midwest City gave up the first goal two weeks ago, but they didn't let that get them down. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Midwest City who was credited with the win. Midwest City got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College's three.

Midwest City's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Del City, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Del City beat Midwest City 4-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Del City repeat their success, or does Midwest City has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
