Softball Recap: Troy Falls Short of Grandview in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Troy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Grandview Zebras by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Zebras: they've now lost six in a row.

Troy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Mensch, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Troy's loss dropped their record down to 27-8. As for Grandview, the win (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 32-3.

As of now, neither Troy nor the Zebras have any future games scheduled.
