Basketball Recap: Catoctin Comes Up Short

Catoctin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 82-29 loss at the hands of the Linganore Lancers. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-13.

Linganore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Will Davis, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Hodgson, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Catoctin's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Linganore, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Catoctin Cougars challenge the Walkersville Lions on Thursday. As for Linganore, they will head out to challenge Frederick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
