Softball Recap: Santiago Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Santiago came into Saturday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the La Sierra Eagles an 11-0 shutout on Saturday. The Sharks' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Santiago's victory bumped their record up to 9-17. As for La Sierra, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-12 record.

Looking ahead, Santiago will venture away from home to take on Norco at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so the Sharks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for La Sierra, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 16-6 win against Rubidoux on the 5th.
