Football Recap: Chicopee Wins Going Away Against Commerce

Chicopee not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 3, 2024 (when they won 30-0). They were the clear victors by a 30-6 margin over the Commerce Red Raiders. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 22-0.

Despite the loss, Commerce still got an impressive performance from Rayshaud Robinson, who rushed for 150 yards. Robinson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.

Chicopee's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3. As for Commerce, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Chicopee will square off against Ludlow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Commerce, they are taking a road trip to take on Northampton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
