Recap: Hillcrest Knights vs. Idaho Falls Tigers
The Hillcrest Knights entered their tilt with the Idaho Falls Tigers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Hillcrest breezed by Idaho Falls on the road to the tune of 90-40. Given Hillcrest's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Idaho Falls is ranked 132nd), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Hillcrest to victory were Matthew Trenkle and Ike Sutton. Trenkle scored 14 points, while Sutton scored 15 points along with seven assists. Sutton hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Titan Larsen was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Despite the loss, Idaho Falls had strong showings from Bradley Elison, who scored 17 points, and Makai Ferguson, who scored 11 points.
Hillcrest pushed their record up to 8-6 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for Idaho Falls, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Hillcrest will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Shelley at 7:30 p.m. As for Idaho Falls, they will head out on the road to take on Thunder Ridge at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.
