Basketball Game Preview: Boyle County Rebels vs. Lincoln County Patriots

Boyle County and Lincoln County are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2022, but not for long. The Boyle County Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lincoln County Patriots at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Boyle County is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since January 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of North Laurel by a score of 61-58. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Jaguars are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Lincoln County came up short against Danville Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 48-35. The Patriots have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Boyle County's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Lincoln County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1.

Boyle County came out on top in a nail-biter against Lincoln County in their previous meeting on Saturday, sneaking past 50-47. Will Boyle County repeat their success, or does Lincoln County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
