Basketball Game Preview: Lyle Cougars vs. Perrydale Pirates

Having just played yesterday, the Lyle Cougars will get right back to it and host the Perrydale Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lyle is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 67-66 to Trout Lake.

Meanwhile, Perrydale was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-41 heartbreaker at the hands of St. Paul. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Buckaroos are ranked 124th).

Lyle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Perrydale, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.
