Basketball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside lost against Northside - Pinetown back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Southside Seahawks took a 73-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northside - Pinetown Panthers.

When it comes to explaining why Southside lost, don't look at Josh Armstrong. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 22 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Zymere Wiggins, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 boards.

Northside - Pinetown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Malachi Moore, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 15 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Nick Moore, who went 8 of 12 en route to 16 points.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Northside - Pinetown, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Southside has already played their next match (against Mattamuskeet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northside - Pinetown will venture away from home to take on Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
