Basketball Recap: Brentwood Comes Up Short

Brentwood entered their matchup against Siegel on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Brentwood Bruins were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Siegel Stars. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bruins came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Stars are ranked 127th).

Brentwood's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3. As for Siegel, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Brentwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-56 win against Page on the 7th. As for Siegel, they will take on Coffee County Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
