At the plate, Nazli Chavez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Dahlgren, who went 4-for-5 with three runs and four RBI.

Skyline hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Washington struck out 11 times.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Eastlake ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty, sneaking past 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Addi Baumgartner spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

On the hitting side, Eastlake saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macie Parthemer, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Skyline pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Eastlake, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Skyline hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Eastlake struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Skyline skirted past Eastlake 6-5 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
