Football Game Preview: Plainview vs. Emerson-Hubbard

Plainview have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Emerson-Hubbard at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close matchup.

Plainview found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 8-40 punch to the gut against Randolph two weeks ago. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Plainview.

Meanwhile, after soaring high against Homer three weeks ago, Icarus fell to the ground last week. Emerson-Hubbard lost to Allen by a decisive 6-24 margin.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
