Softball Recap: St. Francis Troubadours vs. Del Oro Golden Eagles

St. Francis had lost eight straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 5-18 to make it nine. They lost 11-0 to the Del Oro Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in March.

As for Del Oro, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 23-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

For Del Oro's part, Mikayla Finn looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Caelyn Campos was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Kate Brown 2026 was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
