Pathway Christian extends road losing streak to eight

Pathway Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They fell to Galesburg Christian 48-44. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pathway Christian of the 51-49 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Pathway Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ryker Miller, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Denver Nelson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Pathway Christian bumped their record down to 6-13 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Galesburg Christian, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pathway Christian on the road again on Thursday and play against Unity Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. Unity Christian is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Galesburg Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Faith Christian will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
