Volleyball Game Preview: Stanley-Boyd Orioles vs. Regis Ramblers

Stanley-Boyd is 2-8 against Regis since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Orioles will head out on the road to take on the Ramblers at 7:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Stanley-Boyd comes in on eight and Regis on five.

Stanley-Boyd will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Bloomer, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Orioles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blackhawks on Tuesday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Stanley-Boyd's got stronger as the match went on, holding Bloomer to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-14.

Stanley-Boyd found their leader in sophomore Kendall Sikora, who had seven digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Regis made easy work of Thorp on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Regis was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11, 25-16.

Stanley-Boyd's record is now 26-3. As for Regis, their record now sits at 26-6.

Stanley-Boyd might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Regis in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Orioles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
