Basketball Preview: Hauser Jets vs. Brown County Eagles
Hauser and Brown County are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2014, but not for long. The Hauser Jets will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against the Brown County Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hauser focused on turnovers this week as the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Hauser is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Edinburgh. The Jets just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Aleigha Wickliffe, who posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and eight steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in offensive rebounds (four). Another player making a difference was Abby Manley, who earned 13 points plus two steals.
Meanwhile, a win for Brown County just wasn't in the cards on Saturday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were dealt a 69-17 loss at the hands of Southwestern.
Brown County's defeat came about despite a quality game from Ava Stogsdill, who earned 12 points.
