Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Patriots vs. Messmer Bishops

The Heritage Christian Patriots will head out to square off against the Messmer Bishops at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.2 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Heritage Christian ended up a good deal behind Luther Prep and lost 59-45.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jordan Draeger, who posted ten points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Seroyer, who had 13 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Messmer had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They escaped with a win against the Wolfpack by the margin of a single free throw, 69-68. The 69-point effort marked the Bishops' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Messmer's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Everything went Heritage Christian's way against Messmer in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Heritage Christian made off with a 101-78 win. Does Heritage Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Messmer turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
