Basketball Recap: Nettleton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Nettleton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 56-44 win over the Batesville Pioneers on Tuesday. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Pioneers are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nettleton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points over those games. As for Batesville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Coming up, Nettleton will challenge West Memphis at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Batesville, they will be playing at home against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
