Preview: Holy Cross Lancers vs. Westampton Tech Panthers
Holy Cross has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Westampton Tech Panthers at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Cross has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Holy Cross scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 66-59 win over Bordentown. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Holy Cross' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emmanuel Doku, who scored 24 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Doku has scored at least a third of Holy Cross' points. Another player making a difference was Joey Martino, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Westampton Tech beat Pennsauken 45-40 on Friday.
Holy Cross' record is now 4-8. As for Westampton Tech, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Holy Cross came up short against Westampton Tech when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 41-33. Can Holy Cross avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
