Baseball Game Preview: Laurel Highlands Mustangs vs. Uniontown Red Raiders

For the second straight game, Laurel Highlands will face off against Uniontown. The Mustangs will head out to challenge the Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, Laurel Highlands turned things around against Uniontown on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Red Raiders a 4-0 shutout.

The result came thanks to Jack Johns's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Parker Hoff, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Connor Damico, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Laurel Highlands' win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 2-10. As for Uniontown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
