Soccer Recap: Ocean Springs Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Ocean Springs couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Northwest Rankin Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Greyhounds couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ocean Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Northwest Rankin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Ocean Springs nor Northwest Rankin have any future games scheduled.
