Basketball Game Preview: Jasper Vikings vs. Priceville Bulldogs

The Jasper Vikings just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Priceville Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jasper has three straight victories, Priceville has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Jasper couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 74-38 blowout they got against Fairview. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Priceville played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Oakwood Academy, falling 95-75. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Mustangs are ranked 94th).

Jasper's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.6 points. As for Priceville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
