Holy Names Academy extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 7-10 in the process. They lost 11-1 to the Garfield Bulldogs. Holy Names Academy was not able to make up for their defeat to Garfield from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Delanie Gilda was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

As for Garfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3. Considering they have won 11 contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

On Garfield's side, Hannah Arimura made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Arimura has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Sammy Breckenridge looked comfortable as she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Garfield let Mae Valenta and Nina Breckenridge run wild.
