South Florence entered their tilt with Lower Richland on Thursday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets with a sharp 16-0 win. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Rylie Rowsey made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Rowsey was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Ryleigh Hux was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Riley Owens was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

South Florence hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in nine consecutive matches.

South Florence's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Lower Richland, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: South Florence beat Lower Richland by a score of 15-0 later that day.
