Soccer Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Mourning

Mourning had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They never let the Scheck Hillel Community School Lions onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. Give the Sharks' defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Michael Kashi, who's now up to two this season.

Mourning's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matches. As for Scheck Hillel Community School, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-1-1.

Mourning has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Dr. Krop on the 10th. As for Scheck Hillel Community School, they are taking a road trip to challenge Immaculata-La Salle at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
