The Prescott Badgers will face off against the Coconino Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prescott will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Coconino's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Prescott hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Prescott didn't even let Agua Fria on the board on Monday, marking Prescott's second-straight 15-0 shutout. Considering the Badgers have won four matchups by more than 12 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Parker Reed looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, Prescott let Nick Martin and Cooper Magnett run wild. Martin scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Magnett went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Prescott is undefeated when Martin posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivan Schuster, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Prescott kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Coconino fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Lee Williams on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Volunteers by a score of 8-7. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Volunteers since on Thursday.
Caleb Begay put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed over his last four matches. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Corbin Derr was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Ty Sevier was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Prescott's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Coconino, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1.
Coconino's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Prescott hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .400. It's a different story for Coconino, though, as they've only averaged .242. Will they be able to contain Prescott's hitters?
Prescott came out on top in a nail-biter against Coconino in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 18-16. Does Prescott have another victory up their sleeve, or will Coconino turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
