Volleyball Recap: Jefferson City Has No Trouble Against Rolla

Jefferson City had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Rolla on Thursday. The Jays were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The victory continues a trend for the Jays in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

While Jefferson City might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Rolla scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-22.

Isabel Patterson was the offensive standout of the match as she had 16 digs and two aces. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high.

Patterson wasn't the only good servers: Jefferson City was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

Jefferson City's record now sits at 14-8-1. As for Rolla, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10-2 record this season.
