Football Game Preview: Montesano Bulldogs vs. Nooksack Valley Pioneers

The Montesano Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Nooksack Valley Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Montesano is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Friday, Montesano earned a 22-14 victory over Rochester.

Meanwhile, Nooksack Valley took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 47-20 win over Meridian. Considering the Pioneers have won three contests by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Montesano better keep an eye on Cole Coppinger. He was instrumental in Nooksack Valley's win, picking up 203 receiving yards and three TDs. Another player making a difference was Brayden Allworth, who rushed for 90 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries.

Nooksack Valley now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Montesano, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Montesano didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Nooksack Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 34-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
