            Soccer Recap: Mineral Ridge vs. Lordstown        
        
		
        
        
             Mineral Ridge waltzed into their contest  on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lordstown Red Devils  a   2-0 shutout. The score was all tied up  0-0 at the break, but the Rams were the  better team in the second half.

 Brandon Komsa scored both of Mineral Ridge's goals,  bringing their combined season tally to three goals.
 Mineral Ridge pushed their record up to 6-3-2 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Lordstown,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-9.
 Mineral Ridge has the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome Memorial at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Lordstown, they will face off against McKinley at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Lordstown is facing McKinley at the right time seeing as McKinley is stuck on  a  ten-game losing streak.
