Baseball Recap: Armwood Gets the Win

Armwood won the last time they faced Robinson and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights, sneaking past 9-8.

Javier Suniaga was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Armwood's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-15 when he doesn't). Marcus Hires was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Armwood's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15. As for Robinson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Looking ahead, Armwood will head out to take on Blake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Robinson, they will be playing at home against Plant at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
