Basketball Recap: Patel Takes a Loss

Patel lost against St. Petersburg Catholic back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Patel Trailblazers lost 60-40 to the St. Petersburg Catholic Barons.

St. Petersburg Catholic was led to victory by Josh Grobmyer and David Reilly. Grobmyer went 9 of 12 en route to 22 points, while Reilly dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. John Reilly was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Patel has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for St. Petersburg Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Patel has already played their next contest, a 57-46 defeat against Saint Stephen's Episcopal on the 9th. As for St. Petersburg Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-45 loss against Anclote on the 9th.
